Education Workshop - How to Lead Effective Group Bible Studies (Lunch Provided)

¨ Are you confident in planning and implementing an interactive Bible study from scratch, or maximizing the use of published  curriculum?

¨ Would you benefit from training that will enhance your use of discussion so participants can observe, interpret, and apply God’s Word?

¨ Do you feel equipped to ask biblically and educationally sound questions that keep the focus of authority on God’s Word rather than  human opinion?

¨ Are you skilled at preventing or handling group dynamics such as: monopolizers, discussion rabbit trails, and difficult or controversial Bible verses that crop up in a study?

¨ Have you struggled to cultivate deeper fellowship in your group?

Hi, my name is Terry Powell.  I have been a  professor of Church Ministries for over 38 years, and currently serve as Faculty Emeritus at Columbia International University in Columbia, South Carolina.  I specialize in training leaders to lead effective group Bible studies. I have trained group leaders in over 25 states in the U.S., in addition to Canada, Puerto Rico, South Korea, Ukraine, India, Sri Lanka, St. Lucia, St. Vincent, Namibia, Kenya, Grenada, and France.

Along with being a professor, I have served as full-time Director of Christian Education and part-time church staff at different  churches, as well as being a licensed preacher, author, and writer of a blog that deals with the issue of depression.

One of my former students, Mike Connell, is currently serving as Pastor of New Life Fellowship Church in Grant, MI.  Together, we invite you to a day of ministry encouragement and empowerment, covering topics like those mentioned in the sidebar!

I look forward to meeting you and serving your ministries!
